The Sun

▪ It spins about its own axis
▪ It gives out light and heat

The Earth

▪ It is a planet
▪ It is one of the planets in the solar system
▪ It spins about its own axis causing day and night. It takes one day to make one complete spin
▪ It revolves around the Sun. It takes one year to make one ▪ complete revolution
▪ It does not give out light. If can reflect light from the Sun

The Moon

▪ It is a planet
▪ It is the closest neighbour to Earth
▪ It spins about its own axis causing day and night.
▪ It is Earth’s natural satellite
▪ It revolves around the Earth. It takes 29 or 30 days to make one complete revolution
▪ It does not give out light. If can reflect light from the Sun
